Review of Atheist Delusions

While I failed to give a full review of David B. Hart’s book Atheist Delusions, others have not. While cursory, this is a fairly good review

  1. Burk Braun says:

    Hi, Darrell-

“Be that as it may, the Christian society of the ages past is probably extinct. However if it were to ever arise again, it would need an informed intellectual vanguard.”

Well, that is just the issue. If one's vanguard consists of the likes of Michael Behe and Ken Ham, extinct it will surely remain. Christians need to take a deep breath, face reality in the form of modern science and modern historical criticism/understanding, and transition to an intellectually defensible non-realist position, a la Don Cupitt and John Spong.

  2. Darrell says:

    Hi Burk,

Yes, let's listen to Cupitt and Spong: Two guys famously known for no one taking them seriously. A single chapter in any one of Hart's books makes the entire body of Cupitt and Spong's “work” look like kindergarten crayon musings. Basically you are suggesting we take rapper Snoop Dog over Bach or Beethoven. No thanks.
